Samsung announced the latest variant of the Galaxy S4 smart phone that has the ability waterproof and dustproof. This product is officially named the Galaxy S4 Active. 

Galaxy S4 Active can be taken to dive at a depth of one meter for 30 minutes and has a certificate of international standard IP67 durability. 

"Galaxy S4 Active is new additions to the Galaxy series and deliberately designed for active users who love the outdoors," said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung, in a press release. 

This phone uses a quad-core processor 1.9 GHz, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded with the addition of a MicroSD memory card. Galaxy S4 Active runs with Jelly Bean. 

Galaxy S4 Active is designed with a 5-inch screen AMOLED type that supports full-HD resolution. 2.600mAh capacity battery sustains the life of this phone. 

Galaxy S4 Active equipped with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front camera. The rear camera sensor specifications differ with the Galaxy S4, which has a 13MP rear camera. 

Although there are differences in hardware specs, but this phone brings excellent features that the Galaxy S4 have, among others S Translator, Smart Pause, Water View, Water Gesture, and S Health. 

Currently Samsung Galaxy S4 has three variants, namely the original Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S4 Active.
